Descrizione
Il Filax nasce per commutare carichi sensibili, come computer o apparecchi di intrattenimento, fra due sorgenti in corrente alternata. La sorgente prioritaria è di norma la rete, un generatore o la presa di banchina; quella alternativa è di solito un inverter.
Il tempo di commutazione, inferiore a 20 millisecondi, è la ragione per cui i carichi collegati non si spengono durante il passaggio. Non è invece un apparecchio destinato a utenze di potenza come lavatrici o motori elettrici.
Il Filax 2 esiste in due versioni, 230 V/50 Hz-240 V/60 Hz e 110 V/50 Hz-120 V/60 Hz: questa è la seconda. Il contenitore in ABS è classificato IP65, i collegamenti sono su morsetti a vite, il peso è di 0,8 kg e la temperatura di esercizio va da -20 a 50 °C.
