Descrizione
A bordo il transponder lavora in due direzioni: raccoglie in automatico le informazioni diffuse dalle altre navi dotate di AIS e dalle stazioni costiere, e allo stesso tempo mette in onda i dati di movimento della propria imbarcazione.
Il vantaggio si vede quando il radar fatica: navi e boe equipaggiate con AIS restano visibili anche in condizioni in cui l’eco radar è debole o assente. L’MA-510TR riceve sia i segnali di Classe A sia quelli di Classe B.
L’alimentazione è a 12 o 24 V DC nominali, con campo di lavoro da 9,6 a 31,2 V; l’assorbimento dichiarato è di 1,5 A in trasmissione e 0,7 A in ricezione. In dotazione il cavo da 10 metri.
